Neratzia Castle, built between 1436 and 1514 AD, is one of the most characteristic examples of Knights Templar architecture in the Dodecanese Islands.

This domed building was destroyed in the July 2017 earthquake.

The Hippocrates tree is a large Plane tree found in Kos Town close to the Neratzia castle. Legend has it that Hippocrates taught medicine to his students under the shade of this great old tree. - About The Hippocrates Tree
