Vittoriosa Waterfront

Vittoriosa Waterfront

Grand Harbour Marina

Ship owner's office in The Count of Monte Cristo (2002 film)

Sandwich was the only thing on the menu I could afford!

I'd wanted to visit Marseilles ever since I watched The Count of Monte Cristo (2002 film), but it was only a few days before I went to Malta, while researching things to see, I discovered that the "Marseilles" I wanted to see wasn't in France.
"About 80% of the film was filmed on the island of Malta, where the capital of Valletta stood in for Marseilles. The fortified city of Vittoriosa, part of the Grand Harbour of Valletta, was chosen for its strong resemblance to the Port of Marseilles in the early 19th century."
So, I stopped off at the Vittoriosa Waterfront and had lunch - and went to the loo - in the building where the ship owner had his offices in the film.
