I'm fine ...

"Often people with a chronic illness when asked how they’re feeling will answer, “I’m fine,” when what they really want to say is, “Do you know how amazing I am? Do you know what it takes to get through my day? How much I get done proportionate to the little bit of energy I have? The physical discomfort would bring grown men to their knees. And yet, in attempt to be the kind of person that protects those around me from worry, I’m going to tell you, ‘I’m fine.'"
