Phantom Cat

imageThought it was quiet last night ... I'd had to get up a few times and saw Kitty on my travels, but Balu was nowhere to be seen, which is odd (I was too tired / ill to overly concern myself, which is a whole other story).

Anyway, it turns out that mother had accidentally shut him in the living room when she'd gone to bed.

She's lucky he didn't pee in there and I’m surprised he didn’t try to beat the door down or wail loud enough to wake the dead to be let out too.

This morning, a full survey of all surfaces a cat is likely to have slept on, reveals not one single, visible patch of hair, which I REALLY don't understand, coz he normally leaves a carpet of the stuff wherever he goes.

(“Phantom cats … have been purported to appear in regions outside their indigenous range.”)
