Widebelly Wednesday

Our very own white bellied Balu, flat on his back, four paws in the air playing "bunny": he looks kinda content, the little bugger. As he should, because sister Kitty there had just finished giving him a top to tail bed bath. You know, it occurred to me that in all his 6+ years, I have never actually seen "His Highness King Balu" ever give himself a complete bath.

Oh, a cursory lick, here and there, but I suspect he took a look at all that fur when he was young and decided he would never get his own furballs! He's not going to get anyone else's either. He's perfectly happy to let Kitty wash him, which she does all the time, but I've never seen him reciprocate. He's even happy to have a bath - in water - when I give him one from time to time, graciously purring as I massage in the shampoo.

It's such a hard life, isn't it?
